The Syrian Desert occurs in the Middle East and spans an area of approximately 185,180 square kilometres (71,500 square miles). It is located on the Arabian Peninsula where it is present in five countries including Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia. It is named the Syrian Desert as the majority of it landform occurs in Syria, however, different countries know it by various names including Al-Hajarah, and Al-Dibdibah.
